ZIBF anounce 2015 Book Fair theme

Growing the Knowledge Economy through Research, Writing, Publishing and Reading is this years’ theme for the Zimbabwe International Book Fair (ZIBF) set for 27 July – 1 August 2015 with The Indaba Conference slated for 27 and 28 July. According to the Call for papers published by ZIBF, the theme is derived from the many diverse recommendations made by participants at the conclusion of the 2014 Indaba.

The 49th ZimLA Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) is to take place at the spacious Cutty Sark Hotel in Kariba from the 23rd – 25th of June 2015. Previously, the venue has been advertised as the Caribbean Bay Hotel but due unforeseen circumstance the venue has been changed to the Cutty Sark Hotel.

Hosea Tokwe, A Library Change Agent

Hosea Tokwe, Zimbabwe Library Association (ZimLA) National Executive Council Treasurer was last week noted as a Mover and Shaker – Change Agent for 2015 under the Literacy Builder of the Library Journal. He is recognized for his efforts to establish a school library at Matenda School in 2007.
